Craigslist Used to Harass... Again

Strange men showed up at house wanting sex

by Mark Potter

(Florida, U.S.A.) -- A Florida woman faces charges for posting a fake ad online, allegedly to harass her husband's ex-wife.

The ex-wife is Tracy Wilder, a divorced mother of three. She says she knew something was wrong when she began getting phone calls, text messages and visits to her home from men seeking sex.

"I feel violated. I feel our safety was compromised as a family. It's been terrifying," said Wilder. She says the men were responding to an explicit ad in her name on Craigslist-- an ad she insists she never placed.

Policeman Caught Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

(FLORIDA) A Bunnell police officer who was fired is facing charges of using his work-issued computer to stalk his ex-girlfriend.

The complaints about officer Russell Nasby began in October, according to an Internal Affairs report released by the Bunnell Police Department.

The report says an ex-girlfriend told a Flagler County deputy that Nasby was stalking her though e-mails, phone calls and Facebook.

The ex-girlfriend refused to press charges, but a subsequent investigation revealed that the veteran officer had performed background checks on his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend and the deputy who first investigated the stalking allegations, according to the report.

Deputies searched Nasby's work computer and concluded that 75 percent of his Internet activity was for his personal use, according to the report.

The report says that Nasby visited dating sites such as Match.com, pharmaceutical sites that sell Viagra, and gaming sites on FloridaLottery.com.

Nasby recorded more than 3,600 visits to personal and dating Web sites while in his patrol car, while he was suppose to be on duty, according to the report.

The reports says that Nasby admitted to going to improper Web sites while on patrol. He also confessed to contacting his ex-girlfriend after she had asked him to stop.

Nasby's stepfather, Bob Costello, said that his 46-year-old stepson moved out of the home his address was listed as two weeks ago.

"I don't know anything about (Nasby's termination)," Costello said.

Serial Bigamist, Charles "Ed" Hicks Gets Another Year

from our friends & supporters at Fight Bigamy:

Photobucket

Serial bigamist, online predator, Charles Edward 'Ed' Hicks received a four-year sentence with three years suspended for violating his parole according to Derek Wagner, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Chesapeake, VA. Hicks is also known as the Dr. Phil Bigamist.

Hicks told the Court that he had been unable to contact his parole officer because he had a stroke and somehow got to Florida where he was living on a boat. He also told the Court he had a bachelor's degree in engineering from Cal Poly and a Master's Degree from the University of Washington! (all complete fabrications!) Hicks went on to say that a TV documentary had been done about him and ruined his 'good name'!

Hicks had been writing to several women he met on online dating sites for over a year. Despite claiming he was ill and that was why he hadn't reported to his probation office since early 2008, he was well enough to travel the state of Florida, ride a bike ten miles a day, and climb the 30' mast of the sailboat where he was living.

Hicks was arrested last month in Key Largo, Florida on a warrant from Virginia for violating his parole.
Ladies....this man is an on-line predator. When he gets out of jail, he will start doing the same thing again. If you are going to pursue online dating, at a minimum Google the person's name. (Hicks was EOPC's very first PREDATOR OF THE MONTH and we are glad all this information helped in his capture and re-incarceration. GOOGLE PEOPLE YOU MEET ONLINE!! PLEASE!! and stay away from Online Dating where predators like Hicks just PARK themselves and troll for new victims.)

TWO SEX CONVICTIONS IN ONLINE DATING CASE

(Philadelphia, PA) A man who told dates he met online tall tales of being a doctor, an astronaut and a CIA assassin was convicted Wednesday of two counts of sexual assault but acquitted of raping several women who accused him of drugging them.

Seven women, six of whom Jeffrey J. Marsalis met through the Match.com dating service, told similar stories of blacking out or becoming unusually intoxicated during dates from 2003 to 2005.

The jury reached its verdict on the fifth day of deliberations that were so contentious jurors were overheard shouting at each other earlier in the week. He was acquitted of eight rape counts and a count of impersonating a public servant.

Marsalis could get up to 20 years in prison for the two sexual assault counts at sentencing, set for Sept. 18.
"We're pleased that the jury recognized that Mr. Marsalis is not the wrongly
accused man he claimed to be," prosecutor Joseph Khan said. "He is a criminal. He is a sex offender."
The jury could not reach a verdict on one rape count. Prosecutors had not decided whether to seek a second trial on that charge.

Prosecutors said Marsalis, 34, of Philadelphia, was a smooth talker with a tony address and a penchant for chic bars and restaurants. The on-and-off nursing student spun tales about being a doctor, an astronaut or a secret agent.

The women, most of them well-educated professionals, gave authorities similar accounts of meeting Marsalis and then feeling unusually intoxicated after returning from the bathroom or letting him buy a round of drinks from the bar. They testified they woke up hours later at his apartment — groggy, sometimes undressed — after an apparent sexual encounter or even amid intercourse.

Marsalis' lawyer said the women were suffering from "buyer's remorse" after being duped about his accomplishments and dumped after consensual sex. Defense attorney Kathleen E. Martin said none of the victims went to police or a hospital afterward and were only sought out by police as part of an earlier case against Marsalis. (typical "scorned women" defense used by cyberpaths)

Marsalis was acquitted of three similar assaults in January 2006 and immediately charged in the latest cases. Another rape charge is pending against him in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Records show Marsalis has moved frequently, having lived in Park City, Utah; the Phoenix area, where he worked as a paramedic; a Seattle suburb; and South Florida.
